Our History
AV8R Cleaning Supply was founded on a lifelong connection to aviation and a family legacy rooted in service.
Early Inspiration
From an early age, aviation played a central role in my life. Growing up beneath the flight path of LaGuardia Airport, watching aircraft pass overhead sparked a fascination that never faded. With one grandfather who served as an Air Force pilot and another who placed a pilot’s hat on my head when I was just three years old, flying quickly became more than an interest—it became a calling.
I wasn’t just drawn to aircraft themselves, but to the discipline, precision, and professionalism that define the aviation industry.
A Foundation in Family Business
While my passion for aviation remained constant, my professional path led me into my family’s business—a third-generation importer and distributor of specialty coffee. For more than 60 years, our company has served the foodservice industry with a focus on quality, reliability, and long-term relationships.
That experience built the foundation for how AV8R operates today: service-first, relationship-driven, and committed to doing business the right way.
A Moment of Change
In 2020, the pandemic brought our primary market in New York City to a standstill. Like many business owners, I was forced to pause, reassess, and adapt. That period of uncertainty also created an opportunity to explore new directions and revisit long-standing goals.
The Birth of AV8R
In the spring of 2022, I began flight training, reconnecting with a lifelong ambition to be part of aviation. As I spent more time in and around the industry, I noticed a gap: despite aviation’s high standards and professionalism, there was no truly strong, customer-focused nationwide supplier dedicated exclusively to aviation cleaning products.
That realization led to the creation of AV8R Cleaning Supply.
